The board of ONGC would consider a proposal by an unknown Japanese company to participate in one of the former’s NELP VI deepwater blocks in the Krishna-Godavari basin. The company had invited international majors for possible tie-ups to develop 19 of its oil and gas acreages, including the east coast ultra-deepwater gas discovery, won through domestic licensing rounds.
