PM Modi inaugurates KG block's onshore ONGC U-field facilities

Prime Minister Narendra Modi dedicated the U-field onshore facilities at Odalarevu in the Andhra Pradesh district of the B R Ambedkar Konaseema to the country.

Along with the inauguration/laying of the foundation stone for numerous other development projects totaling over Rs 107 billion in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, the project was dedicated to the nation.

U-field is located in the Bay of Bengal's Krishna Godavari basin block KG-DWN-98/2. Undersea pipes will transport natural gas from the field to the onshore plant before it is distributed to customers.

However, ONGC did not provide a start date for the field's production.
