BHEL commissioned three supercritical units of the 1,980 MW coal-based Lalitpur Super Thermal Power Project in Uttar Pradesh within a span of just 85 days. Located in the Bundelkhand district, the 3 x 660 MW Lalitpur STPP has been developed by Lalitpur Power Generation Company, promoted by the Bajaj Hindustan group. The main plant package contract of this 1,980 MW power plant is being executed by BHEL. Significantly, all the three units have been synchronised three to four months ahead of the schedule.
