DVC commences work on Raghunathpur project

Work on Phase-II of the 1,320 MW Raghunathpur thermal power plant project has started at a total investment of Rs 10,000 crore. As of now, civil work for the boiler of the first unit of 660 MW for Phase II has been initiated. The entire process will take more than two years to complete. The development holds significance as DVC had plans of shifting the project from West Bengal after officials were attacked by locals in protest in November 2013. Contact: Damodar Valley Corporation.
