India's first AUSC power plant at Sipat

India's first advanced ultra-supercritical thermal power plant will be set up at Sipat station of NTPC in Chhattisgarh. <br />
<br />
The coal-fired project will have a capacity of 800 MW. Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research has developed the technology, while BHEL will design and manufacture the boiler and other equipment that NTPC will use. <br />
<br />
CCEA had approved the proposal for the R&D of AUSC technology for thermal power plants. <br />
