MERC approves RInfra revenue gap of Rs 221.78 cr

Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission provisionally approved RInfra’s revenue gap of Rs 221.78 crore for the financial year 2010-11, with consideration of the annual revenue requirement (ARR) with immediate effect. According to RInfra, majority of the revenue gap for 2010-11 was due to the stay on retail tariffs for the first five months and the loss of cross-subsidy due to migration of subsidising consumers to TPC-D and it stated that the gap was equal to the difference between the revenue earned and the actual ARR of Rs 692.97 crore.Contact: Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission.Tel: 022-2216 3964.
