The first 350 MW unit of GMR Kamalanga Energy (GKEL) in Odisha,s Dhenkanal district is commercially operational since May 1. GMR Group is establishing a 4 x 350 MW coal-based thermal power plant at Kamalanga in two phases of 3 x 350 MW and 1 x 350 MW. When fully commissioned, the GKEL power plant will serve the people of Odisha, Bihar, Haryana and other parts of the country.
