Atlas Copco launches generators and compressors to power a wide range of applications. Atlas Copco will be entering the on-site generator market in India for the first time, with the unique selling proposition of 'predictable power.' The company is known for its compressors in India, but will now also manufacture generators - predictable power for the job site. Atlas Copco Predictable Power offers customers in the on-site generator and power generation business with solutions that combine low cost of ownership, reliable performance and risk-free operation. Unique technology In terms of breakthrough technology, Atlas Copco offers a unique generator concept. As a pure synergy product with the Atlas Copco portable compressor, the new QAX range uses the same XAHS186 box along with all the design strengths required for heavy duty mobile applications. Salient features In order to achieve the optimal sizing, and fit for a smaller model for the same application or load, QAX range features an optimal combination engine - alternator that includes a digital type AVR able to control or limit starting currents. Further, the compliance with CPCB brings strong design constraints on silencing and cooling performance. The QAX range design is dedicated to mobile prime power applications, where performance, serviceability, transportability, silencing and safe operations are the key. The 'Predictable power' is the company's on-site generator's core value and that is what makes the offering unique. QAX is more than an engine - it is an all-rounder. From the recognised compressor design, it also offers optimal sizing to the application with benefits of fuel consumption. Portable compressors Atlas Copco has the expertise in making the best portable options and is an expert in selling portable air compressors. Now, it has launched two new compressor models. With higher capacity, more efficient elements and more pressure, the compressors offer higher productivity to the end customer, where productivity is at least 30 to 35 per cent more than traditional compressors. This will be demonstrated with the launch of XAH236, a compressor which offers a capacity of 500 CFM and 175 PSI as against 250 CFM and 150 PSI offered by other competitor models. The heart of compressor is now a slightly bigger element and has been manufactured in the state-of-the-art facility from AirPower, Belgium. Hence the compressors are much efficient and have better productivity per hour. Add-ons Another addition to the compressor portfolio will be the XAS187, which is an upgraded version of the XA176. This is the best selling model in the Atlas Copco portable air compressor stable. In terms of value addition, the XAS187 is capable of running four jack hammers at the best fuel efficiency as compared to a maximum of three jack hammers offered by competition, resulting in a capacity that is increasing by 10 to 12 per cent. The number of jack hammers depends on quality and the brand of jack hammers used. The XA176 has been modified using the best efficient elements where Ashok Leyland 6DTI engines are installed since they are the most widely acceptable and well known in India. Also, different types of couplings are used to reduce transmission losses. Atlas Copco offers the widest range of compressors in the market today, thereby empowering customers with a large portfolio to choose from.
