Tamil nadu seeks 4,830 MW power

In Tamil Nadu, the ruling All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) urged the Centre to allocate 4,830 MW to the state. The party appealed for the allocation of 2,000 MW, to be produced from the Koodankulam Nuclear Power Plant and the entire 2,830 MW to be produced from the Vallur Thermal Power Plant at Thiruvallur.
