Inox Wind Secures Rs 7,550 Million Turnkey Project From IOC

Inox Wind Ltd has secured a Rs 7,550 million (mn) turnkey contract from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd for the supply and installation of wind power assets. The award covers engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning under a turnkey scope for IOC's renewable energy initiatives. The company will mobilise its project and supply chain resources to execute the contract within stipulated timelines and to meet technical and safety standards. The announcement was made through a regulatory filing.

The contract value corresponds to Rs 755 crore in legacy terms and will be recorded as part of the firm's order inflow. Inox Wind will manage logistics, foundation works, turbine erection and grid connection activities as part of the turnkey delivery. Project governance will include milestone based invoicing and quality assurance processes aligned with industry practice. The order is material for the company given its focus on scaling project execution capabilities.

The award will enhance revenue visibility for the near term and to contribute to the firm's project backlog. Contract revenue will be recognised in accordance with applicable accounting standards as work progresses against contractual milestones. The transaction highlights growing procurement of renewable capacity by major energy corporations seeking to diversify power portfolios. Stakeholders will monitor execution milestones and cash flow implications as the contract progresses.

Inox Wind's manufacturing footprint and service infrastructure will be leveraged to meet delivery schedules and commissioning requirements. The firm will disclose further operational and financial details in periodic regulatory updates to investors. The company has invested in capacity expansion and logistics to support large orders and those resources will be drawn upon for this delivery. The turnkey contract from IOC will strengthen Inox Wind's position in the domestic wind sector and support its ongoing project pipeline.
