Power Min asks Gencos to import required coal till Sep

To make up for potential limitations in the local supply of the fuel, the electricity ministry has
ordered generation companies to import coal for blending up to 6% of their requirements until
September 2023.
Additionally, the ministry has instructed NTPC Ltd., Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Punjab to procure 10-15% of their domestic coal needs via rail-ship-rail.
