The 720 MW Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Power Project, funded by India, has been handed over to Bhutan's Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC). With the project's completion, India and Bhutan have completed four mega hydroelectric power projects. In 2019, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Bhutanese counterpart Lotay Tshering jointly inaugurated the 720 MW Mangdechhu Hydroelectric Power Project. The project's completion increased Bhutan's electrical power generation capacity by 44 per cent, bringing it to 2,326 MW. Contact: Druk Green Power Corporation Website: www.drukgreen.bt
