MP Khatana Inaugurates Community Projects in Jammu Constituencies

Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana inaugurated a series of infrastructure and community development projects on Tuesday across Bahu and Jammu North constituencies.

At Narwal Bala, MP Khatana opened a newly built cremation shed developed under the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS). The event saw attendance from municipal and engineering officials. To mark the inauguration, the MP planted a sapling, encouraging environmental responsibility.

At Middle School, Kiryani Talab, he unveiled improvements including a tiled floor, a new water cooler, and renovated washrooms. The MP also addressed local concerns by promising immediate repairs to a nearby pond, which has caused water seepage into the school premises.

A long-awaited public demand was met with the resurfacing of the Narwal–Raika Link Road. This upgrade will ease commutes and enhance connectivity. Community leaders and residents participated in the road inauguration.

In Upper Thather, a newly constructed multi-purpose community shed was inaugurated. The venue will support Panchayat meetings and public functions, promoting civic engagement.

MP Khatana was accompanied by senior BJP leaders, including DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan and former MLA Sham Lal Sharma. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to grassroots development guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
