Vizag's Bheemili poised for development

Bheemunipatnam or Bheemili's merger with Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation and the initiation of the Vizag-Bheemili Beach Corridor project could well turn Bheemili into a tourist-cum-residential hub in the next half a decade, feel realtors. Bheemili, being the second oldest municipality in the country and also once known for its Dutch settlements, realtors said that Bheemili and a few villages neighbouring it are located in an ideal location as they have the beach to one side and the national highway to the other.

While the national highway offers better connectivity to Vizag city, the beach on the other side provides an ideal residential location. Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Association of India (Credai), Vizag Chairman B Raja Srinivas said that apart from Bheemili, villages such as Kapaluppada, Cheppaluppada and Nidigattu, which are located between Madhurawada and Bheemili, will probably be the direction in which the city grows in the future.

Madhurawada has already gained prominence as a residential and educational hub in Vizag, India's port city, over the last five years.
