The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has finally handed over Mangaluru airport to the Adani Group on lease for 50 years. AAI officials, employees, and support staff will assist Adani for the next three months, and will remain with the group for the next three years. The Adani Group last year bid for six airports which were privatised by the Union government. The others are Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, and Thiruvananthapuram airports, all of which Adani won in 2019. The Adani Group has also begun commercial work at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport after taking over the operational rights of the Ahmedabad Airport in November. The agreements for the other airports were signed between AAI and the Adani Group in September.Contact: Gurvinder Singh, Associate Manager for sales and marketing, Adani Group.Address: Shantigram, Near Vaishnodevi Circle, SG Highway, Ahmedabad-38 2421, Gujarat.E-mail: gurvinder.khalsa@adani.com Website: www.adani.com
