Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) has recently put into operation two additional passenger boarding aerobridges bringing the total count of these facilities at the airport to six. This enhancement provides airlines with much-needed operational flexibility, particularly during the monsoon season when transferring passengers between the plane on the apron and the terminal becomes challenging. According to an official statement from MIA, the new aerobridges are integrated with the new terminal building allowing the airport to make the most efficient use of its 11 parking stands on the apron.
