The temple city of Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh (AP) is set to become the first city in the state to introduce double decker buses for public transport. It will become the second city in South India (the other being Hyderabad) and the first city in AP to introduce double decker buses for public transport. Tirupati Municipal Corporation (TMC) is now gearing up to launch its own fleet of electric double decker buses for internal public transport.
