Olivier Loison, Managing Director, Alstom India, is at the helm of affairs when the company reached a milestone with the inauguration of RAPIDX, India’s first semi high-speed regional ‘Made in India’ train which has set a new world standard and marks the world debut of Level 3 European Train Control System (ETCS) advanced signalling technology. The end-to-end design, engineering, manufacturing and signalling work done in India is aligned with the ‘Make-in-India’ and Atmanirbhar Bharat commitment. Commenting on this landmark moment, Olivier Loison, Managing Director, Alstom India said that as a part of India’s Rail Revolution, RAPIDX marks the world debut of many new signalling technologies which will globally set new benchmarks and these ‘Made in India’ trains will offer a first-of-its-kind experience for Indian commuters with its speed, advanced technology and passenger experience.
