Bharat Mumbai Container Terminals (BMCT), the facility run by Singapore’s PSA International at state-owned Jawaharlal Nehru Port, said it has become India’s first container terminal to be fully powered by renewable energy on the back of a 7.8 MW solar farm commissioned in partnership with O2 Power. BMCT, the largest of the five container terminals operating at Jawaharlal Nehru Port, by berth length and capacity, handled 2 million twenty-foot equivalent units in 2023, the highest since starting operations in February 2018. PSA International is a wholly owned unit of Temasek Holdings, the state holding company owned by the Singapore government.  Contact: Bharat Mumbai Container TerminalWebsite: www.bmctpl.com
