As many as half of the smart cities' integrated command and control centres (ICCCs) are expected to be completed by 2019. This includes works worth Rs 490 bn. At present, there are 12 operational ICCCs. As reported, 26 more are in the pipeline and 22 are under the process of tendering. By December next year, at least 50 out of the 100 centres are expected to be functional. In order to implement the projects in smart cities, close to 98 SPVs have been formed.
