Italian CE market grows

The Italian construction equipment market has seen an increase of 16 per cent in sales as compared to the last fiscal. According to UNACEA forecasts, the Italian production was valued about -Ç2,500 mn in 2013. The first four months in 2014 witnessed an export of -Ç765 mn worth construction equipment, which marks a growth of 2 per cent. The exports of road machines grew by 16 per cent, while that of crushing and screening equipment saw a growth of 8 per cent. Concrete equipment market grew by 6 per cent and earthmoving machines saw a rise of 3 per cent. Among these, the export of tower crane maintained status quo, whereas that of drilling machine decreased by 14 per cent.
