Zoomlion Unveils 1,600 HP Hybrid Tractor for Large Farms

Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology has recently unveiled its 9DX hybrid tractor at the 2026 China International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition in China. Delivering a peak output of 1,600 horsepower, the tractor is claimed by the company to be the world's most powerful and is designed for large-scale, heavy-duty agricultural operations.

The 9DX incorporates an in-house-developed digital chassis, core components and intelligent control systems. Its hybrid continuously variable transmission technology and 800-volt dual-motor coupling system generate peak torque of 7,200 Nm, enabling efficient operation with heavy agricultural implements.

Equipped with a hydraulic flow capacity of 636 litres per minute, the tractor supports wide seeders, large tillage equipment and variable-rate fertiliser applicators. Its four-track drive system features 762-mm-wide tracks designed to minimise surface soil compaction, while a fully suspended cab with independent suspension enhances operator comfort.

The launch expands Zoomlion's hybrid agricultural machinery portfolio. The company also showcased intelligent agricultural equipment, precision farming technologies, software platforms and smart hardware at the exhibition, highlighting the integration of mechanisation and digital solutions.

Following the launch, Zoomlion hosted its 2027 Global Agricultural Machinery Dealer Conference on 28 October 2026 at Zoomlion Smart Industry City in Changsha, bringing together more than 230 international partners.

Zhan Chunxin, Chairman and CEO, Zoomlion, emphasised agricultural machinery as a strategic business segment, highlighting the company's focus on providing equipment and solutions across the agricultural value chain, from tillage and planting to harvesting and storage.

During the conference, overseas partners visited intelligent manufacturing facilities and testing laboratories, witnessed autonomous machinery demonstrations and participated in equipment trials. Partners from more than 20 countries, including Spain, Türkiye, Australia, Brazil and Egypt, signed commercial agreements with Zoomlion.

The company plans to strengthen agricultural machinery innovation and international expansion under its strategy focused on high-end equipment, global markets and new energy technologies.
