1,000+ families get homes in Azamgarh under PMAY-Urban

Approximately 1,040 families belonging to the urban poor were handed the keys to their new homes as part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban. The inauguration of the LightHouse Project took place virtually from Azamgarh, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, bringing immense happiness to the recipients.

The houses, which have been constructed utilizing advanced PVC stay-in-place formwork technology, showcase features that are both disaster-resistant and environmentally friendly. This sets a fresh benchmark for affordable housing initiatives in India.

Anil Kumar, the director of the State Urban Development Agency, expressed pride in incorporating this innovative technology into the LightHouse Project. He emphasized its significance for the national construction sector.
