BRINGING TOGETHER THE ARCHITECTURE, BUILDING MATERIALS, INNOVATION AND DESIGN INDUSTRY

ACETECH, the much-awaited annual trade fare dedicated to architecture, building materials, innovation and design industry commenced on a high note yesterday at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. As Asia’s largest and the world’s third largest exhibition, ACETECH is showcasing over 400 finest national and international brands. During the course of four-days, the exposition will bring together architects, designers, developers, engineers, contracting companies, industry experts and exhibiting brands under one roof for displaying and sourcing products and services expediently. Organised by ABEC Exhibitions & Conferences and ITE, ACETECH is an effort designed to drive the building industry by bridging the consumer-supplier gap. 
 
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis along with leading stalwarts such as Vikas Oberoi; Niranajan Hiranandani; Architect Hafeez Contractor; Architect Alfaz Miller; Ashish Raheja; Gaurav Gupta; Sandeep Runwal; Rajeev Piramal; Ashok Mohanani; Anuj Puri; Architect Bruce Fairbanks and Architct Zubin Cooper. Moderated by Anuj Puri of Jones Lang Lasalle India, leading the opening of the event was a panel discussion that varied from infrastructure and innovations in construction to smart cities. The panel’s views on current real estate regulations and policies and surgical surveillance as a beneficial move for long-term business growth in the country emerged as the key highlight of the discussion.
 
On the occasion, Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, addressed the audience and the panel, sharing his views about how ACETECH is a substantial initiative to bring together leading players and stakeholders from across industries. He further added, “Affordable housing is the need of the hour and a huge challenge for the growing population in the country. It is imperative to provide a home to every individual by 2022, where 50 per cent of the population is below poverty line. We want to build beautiful and smart cities, all-inclusive of people from different strata’s. We, all the people gathered here at ACETECH, are the best people to achieve this together.”
 
Representing his company at ACETECH 2016, Mark Shashoua, CEO, ITE Group, shared his views during the inauguration ceremony. He stated, “ACETECH’s achievements and progress in the past 10 years is commendable and ITE is proud to be associated with ACETECH and ABEC Exhibitions & Conferences. I would like to congratulate Sumit Gandhi and Manish Gandhi for their efforts, dedication, passion and team building.”
 
The inauguration was followed by an official launch of the book “Bringing the Rainbo – The Hindware Story”, written by RK Somany, Chairman and Managing Director, Hindustan Sanitaryware & Industries.
