L&T secures “significant” contracts in domestic market

Infrastructure major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) said its construction arm, L&T Construction has received multiple orders across its business segments in the domestic market.

The value of the contracts was not disclosed by the company but said that the orders fell under the "significant" category, which ranges between Rs 1,000 crore and Rs 2,500 crore, as per L&T's classification of contracts.

For the construction of office space in Mumbai, L&T's buildings and factories business secured an order from a reputed developer, said the company.

The project's scope includes the construction of two towers comprising four basements, G+21 (ground + 21) floors with a built-up area of 33.50 lakh sq ft.

The company also bagged an order from the Haryana government to construct a medical college at Jind. The project's scope includes the construction of a hospital building, academy blocks, and residential buildings over a built-up area of 15.63 lakh sq ft, said L&T.
