Lafarge announces 2011 Invention Award winners

Lafarge, the world leader in building materials, announced the winners of the 2011 Lafarge Invention Awards, a competition that recognises innovative thinkers who will contribute to the future evolution of sustainable construction in India. Incepted in 2010, these awards reward and support projects on building materials through products, industrial procedures, construction methods or services contributing to sustainable construction. The first prize was bagged by Ashok B Lall Architects for Integrated Hollow Structure for space cooling; KT Group won the second prize for its precast concrete panel. Manasaram Architects was also honoured for Bamboo Symphony.
