Mahaindra to invest in renewable energy

Mahindra Susten will invest $1 bn over the next three years in the green power segment of India. The renewable energy wing of Mahindra aims to own 1 GW of solar energy capacity in addition to 3 GW of third party projects. The total size of the project will be about Rs 4,500 crore out of which 80 per cent will be debt and 20 per cent equity. Equity infusion of Rs 1,200 crore is expected from the Mahindra Group.
