Plans to make Salt Lake-Rajarhat a ´smart green city´

From an integrated bus-and-cycle system to zero-waste system, the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation wants to develop Salt Lake-Rajarhat as a smart green city. Civic authorities had conducted an online survey to understand what the residents of Salt Lake want, with more than 50 per cent saying the area should be developed as an ideal township for elderly residents. Based on the feedback, civic authorities are also planning to integrate their suggestions to develop Salt Lake as an environment-friendly township.
