TIL celebrates golden jubilee of Kamarhatty manufacturing plant

The year 2012 marks the 50th year of TIL’s Kamarhatty manufacturing plant. In 1962, a 10 tonne crane rolled out of this plant creating the company’s biggest milsestone then. Ever since, TIL was the first and only purpose-built Tyre Mounted Mobile Crane factory in India; the 10 tonne diesel electric version crane was the forerunner to more than 5,000 cranes that have since come out of the plant. On an average, the factory has introduced a new crane model once every 18 months.
