TN to build 4,454 houses in nine districts

Tamil Nadu will construct 4,454 housing units, including 1,630 individual houses and 2,792 flats, in nine districts including Chennai, Kanchipuram, Coimbatore and Tiruchy at a cost of Rs 918 crore. This is expected to boost affordable housing in the state. Apart from this, the government will also kickstart work on multistoried apartments and housing units in several cities at an estimate cost of Rs 1,100 crore including 844 multi-storied flats in Chennai.
