Valmark launches Rs 250 cr fund with builder tie-ups

Valmark Group, a Bangalore-based real estate company, with sizeable land holdings in and around the IT Capital and with on-going joint ventures with leading developers including Brigade Group, Embassy, K Raheja, Nitesh Estates and Unitech, has now launched a domestic real estate fund.

The Valmark Infra and Realty Trust will open its kitty with two schemes of Rs 125 crore each and seeks to deploy funds to reputed builders planning to launch residential projects with growth potential. The fund seeks to participate in such upcoming projects in Bangalore and also look at possibilities in Chennai.

The five-year Valmark Realty Fund-Scheme I, a close ended alternate investment fund category II on private placement basis, seeks to raise funds from domestic investors, with a minimum ticket size of Rs one crore. The fund’s preferred/hurdle rate will be 15 per cent per year compounded annually and the profits beyond this will be shared between the fund promoters, investors and the investment manager.
