Out of the 33,252 acre of land for the new state capital near Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh, half will be used for common infrastructure, while the capital complex will be spread over 7,000 acre. The state Budget for FY2015-16 proposes allocation of Rs 3,168 crore for urban development, including development of the capital city.
