Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana Launched in Abu Dhabi

Ohana Development has launched Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana, a 4.1 billion (bn) US dollar gated waterfront community on Yas Canal in Abu Dhabi and Manchester City Football Club's first branded residential project globally. The launch took place at Etihad Park and was attended by the developer's chief executive and chief operating officer together with the chief executive of City Football Group. The project reflects Ohana's stated intent to deliver landmark developments from its Abu Dhabi base.

The masterplan will span 1.67 million (mn) square metres and will offer over 2,000 residential units, including six villa clusters dedicated to four- and five-bedroom villas and twin villas, maisonettes, waterfront penthouses and apartments. Average prices for standalone villas are 1.9 mn US dollars. Completion is scheduled for 2029.

At the project's core is an integrated Manchester City Academy with elite training and recovery facilities aligned with the club's approach to player development and community engagement. A waterfront promenade along the canal will bring together curated retail, dining and lifestyle destinations, including the City Cafe, and will feature a Match Day Terrace, the City Lounge and immersive experiences that celebrate the club's history. A marina sports club and water sports facilities will offer kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing.

Resort-style amenities will include advanced fitness centres and infinity pools while more than 55 per cent of the masterplan is dedicated to landscaped gardens and green spaces. The masterplan also integrates essential community infrastructure, including education and healthcare services. The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre has introduced digitised expressions of interest and booking processes through the Madhmoun platform with registrations under ADREC supervision and mandatory escrow management to strengthen investor protection and governance.
