It was recognised as Global Sector Leader, Global Sector Leader – Listed and Regional Sector Leader in the Development Benchmark. It also ranked first among 12 entities in the India Office peer group. The recognition marks the fourth consecutive year that Mindspace REIT has been named a Global Sector Leader in this benchmark. In the Standing Investments benchmark, the REIT scored 94.2 out of 100 and received a five-star rating. Its score increased from 93 in 2025 and 91.2 in 2023.

Mindspace REIT achieved a perfect management score of 30 out of 30 in both benchmarks. Renewable energy accounted for 50.4 per cent of its total operational energy mix in FY2026, and the REIT reported 100 per cent diversion of construction waste from landfill.

Its emissions-reduction targets were also validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) under its buildings-sector criteria during FY2026.

Ramesh Nair, CEO and Managing Director, Mindspace REIT, said the recognition reflected the integration of sustainability practices across the design, development and operation of its buildings. He highlighted initiatives such as embodied-carbon assessments in new developments, improvements in operational energy performance, resource efficiency and science-based climate targets.

During FY2026, all new acquisitions were assessed through Environmental and Social Due Diligence. The company also conducts project-level life-cycle assessments to evaluate embodied carbon in new developments and incorporates measures such as on-site renewable energy systems.

For its operational portfolio, the REIT assesses all LEED Operations and Maintenance-certified buildings through Arc Energy Performance Scores as part of its energy-performance monitoring initiatives.
