Royal Orchid Signs New Hotel in Rishikesh to Boost North India Growth

Royal Orchid Hotels Ltd has strengthened its footprint in North India with the signing of a new 36-key Regenta property in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. The expansion underscores the group’s strategy to grow in high-demand spiritual and adventure tourism markets.

Located in Tapovan, the upcoming hotel will offer convenient access to the River Ganga, leading ashrams and major adventure-sports locations. The property will feature well-appointed rooms, a multi-cuisine restaurant, banqueting and conference spaces for weddings and corporate events, and wellness amenities including a spa and fitness centre. Its location provides a scenic base for exploring iconic sites such as Ram Jhula and Laxman Jhula.

Chairman and Managing Director Chander K Baljee said the Rishikesh signing aligns with the company’s focus on culturally significant destinations. He noted that Rishikesh’s blend of spiritual heritage and adventure tourism makes it a compelling market, and expressed confidence that the new hotel will further elevate hospitality standards in the region.

The development is being undertaken in partnership with IRIS Park Leisures Private Limited. The partners said the collaboration aims to bring the Regenta experience to Rishikesh by combining local tranquillity with quality service and modern amenities.

Royal Orchid Hotels operates more than 119 properties across India and overseas, following an asset-light expansion model. Its Regenta portfolio spans categories such as Regenta Central, Regenta Resort, Regenta Place and Regenta Inn, catering to travellers seeking comfort, convenience and value.
