Data management functionality to be enhanced by Extracker

Extracker has recently announced an integration with PlanGrid. Extracker is a cloud-based order communication platform that caters to subcontractors and general contractors to create, share and track their change orders, time and material tags. PlanGrid is a field-collaborative solution which is a part of Autodesk Construction and is widely popular for mobile productivity in the construction industry. This integration will automatically update the user’s documentation in Extracker with updates made in PlanGrid Task. It will enable several construction teams to save the time of manual data entry and eliminate miscommunications and mistakes.

In the last few years, automation and technology have helped transform the construction industry. However, contractors are still struggling to manage change order communications via email, spreadsheets or paper. Cameron Page, Founder of Extracker, confirmed that the platform would streamline change order communications to bring all users on the same page at all times, especially financially. Moreover, integrating this with PlanGrid’s software that is rich with data will help to modernise change order communication, especially in the construction industry.

Previously, Extracker had integrated with PlanGrid to incorporate in T&M tags and change order requests by using PlanGrid’s features such as tasks, photos and snapshots. The collaboration will allow users to attach reports in the PlanGrid’s tasks in Extracker. Users can also select multiple tasks and convert them into a T&M tag with a click of a button. Additionally, the title and description will automatically populate. It allows customers to showcase complete and professional documentation to their clients for signature.

James Cook, the head of Integration at Autodesk Construction Solutions added that teams in the construction industry need real-time information from the field to maintain and communicate precise change order information to various stakeholders involved. Additionally, it will capture information about on-site challenges on a mobile device in PlanGrid and feed real-time information to Extracker's T&M tags as well as its change orders. Hence, customers can ensure an accurate communication line with all stakeholders to keep them aligned.
