Guizhou International to invest $500 mn in GMR Infra´s Kakinada SEZ

China´s Guizhou International Investment Corp (GIIC) will invest $500 mn in Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh to develop a 2,000 acre industrial park jointly with Kakinada SEZ Pvt Ltd (KSEZ), a subsidiary of GMR Infrastructure Ltd Guizhou International will bring in Chinese high-end equipment manufacturing companies into KSEZ once it develops the infrastructure. Chinese companies in power equipment, electronics, wind and solar energy, and smart technologies would invest an additional $2-3 bn over the next five years to set up their operations.
