Foundation Stone for Gandikota Project on 1 August

Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh announced on Wednesday that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone for the Gandikota tourism project in YSR Kadapa district on 1 August. The project, with an estimated cost of Rs 780 million, is being undertaken under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme with support from the Central Government.
To further boost tourism in the State, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) will host an exhibition in Udaipur, Rajasthan, on 2 and 3 August. This event will serve as a platform to engage potential investors and entrepreneurs and encourage their participation in the State’s tourism sector.
The Minister also shared plans to hold a two-day partnership summit in Visakhapatnam on 14 and 15 November, aimed at attracting investments across various industries. A Cabinet sub-committee has been established for this purpose, chaired by HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh, with Kandula Durgesh and other members.
“The focus is to draw strategic investments into Andhra Pradesh across sectors, particularly tourism,” he said.
