Belding India acquires Evolve IT Solutions

Belding India has acquired a 100 per cent equity stake in Evolve IT Solutions to strengthen its presence in advanced manufacturing and security screening technologies.

The acquisition expands Belding India's portfolio beyond battery energy storage systems (BESS), modular data centres and edge computing infrastructure into security technologies for critical infrastructure protection.

Based in MIDC, Bhosari, Pune, Evolve IT Solutions manufactures X-ray inspection and security screening systems, including baggage and cargo scanners, vehicle inspection systems, under-vehicle surveillance systems and dual-view X-ray solutions. The company also has in-house research and development and manufacturing capabilities.

Belding said the acquisition enhances its capabilities in advanced manufacturing, industrial electronics, artificial intelligence-enabled imaging, precision engineering and mission-critical security technologies. The expanded portfolio is expected to support applications across airports, ports, metro rail networks, logistics hubs, defence establishments, customs facilities and other strategic infrastructure.

Umesh Kumar Sahay, Chairman, Belding India, said the acquisition marks the company's entry into the security technology sector and supports its long-term strategy of developing indigenous technologies aligned with the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat initiatives.
