NIC is yet to give new rental registration software

The National Informatics Centre has yet to deliver the new and updated software needed to modernise the leave and licence registration process to the property registration department.

According to department sources, the new software was being tested by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and will soon be shared with the state's property registration department.

A top official from the state's information technology division said, "We should be able to share the software soon."

Since April, there have been a number of concerns about the state's registration of tenants. According to a senior official from the property registration department, technological issues would persist till the new updated software is put in place.
