6-hour eway block for Mumbai-bound

The Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) announced that there would be a six-hour-long block on the Mumbai-bound corridor of the Mumbai-Pune Expressway for the Panvel-Karjat double line railway project. According to a release from the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), the roadblock was scheduled to be implemented from 11 am to 5 pm on November 9. An MRVC official stated that light and heavy vehicles would not be allowed on the Mumbai-bound carriageway at Chikhale near Kalamboli, where a Rail Over Bridge (ROB) was being erected as part of the railway project.

The official explained that the roadblock was primarily for launching girders. As an alternative route, motorists traveling towards Mumbai were advised to exit on the old Mumbai-Pune Highway (MH-48) at Khopoli and Panvel, as mentioned in the release.
