Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani, founder & Managing Director, Hiranandani Group, has taken over as the Senior Vice President of industry chamber Assocham. “Assocham enters its centenary year in 2019, and it is my privilege to be entrusted with this responsibility on the eve of the centenary,” said Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani.

The announcement was made at the Annual Day Celebrations held in New Delhi on 16 October 2018, during which the adjourned meeting of the 97th AGM was held, a new managing committee was reconstituted and the new office bearers assumed office.

“Assocham has always played a transformational role, and it will continue to empower Indian enterprises by focussing on critical and relevant issues. I understand that affordable housing will be on the priority list of the chamber, and I look forward to playing my role in giving the segment the right sort of support,” he expressed.

Dr. Niranjan Hiranandani has held senior positions in various industry bodies – he has been President, CREDAI-Maharashtra Chamber of Housing Industry (CREDAI-MCHI); Chairman, Real Estate and Infrastructure Committee, and Past President of the Indian Merchants Chamber (IMC); Advisor of the Real Estate Committee of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI); Former Chairman of Advisory Council of Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI).

He has also been member of the task force for reforms in housing and urban development of the government, as well as member of the study group on slum rehabilitation scheme of the Maharashtra government.

His target on taking over as Senior Vice President, Assocham is to work towards ensuring that the real estate industry can hold its head high, and proclaim that “we are the builders of this nation”.

HCC Net Profit Stands at Rs 2.28 Billion for Q4 FY25

Hindustan Construction Company (HCC) reported a standalone net profit of Rs 2.28 billion in Q4 FY25, a sharp increase from Rs 388 million in Q4 FY24.
