Department of Posts Activates 887 ATMs Nationwide

Department of Posts has recently revamped its ATM infrastructure by activating 887 ATMs across the country, strengthening access to basic banking services at post offices. The initiative aims to make banking more accessible and user-friendly, particularly for citizens in rural and underserved regions.

Installed at various post office locations, the ATMs enable customers to withdraw cash, check account balances and carry out other basic banking transactions closer to their homes. The expanded network supports the government’s broader vision of financial inclusion through digital transformation.

Citizens have been encouraged to utilise the ATM services offered by the Department of Posts, which are now available across India, enhancing convenience and reach of postal banking services.
