Export State Summit 2026 for Food MSMEs Concludes in Kohima

The Department of Industries and Commerce, Government of Nagaland, in association with the Nagaland Industrial Development Corporation, has concluded the Export State Summit 2026 for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) from the food sector. The two-day summit was held on September 24 and 25 at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Industries and Commerce in Kohima.

The event brought together participants from 13 districts of Nagaland and was organised under the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Scheme. Its focus was on strengthening the state’s export competitiveness and creating pathways for food-sector enterprises to access international markets.

The programme covered the complete export process through eight modules. Participants received guidance on obtaining an Import Export Code, identifying suitable products and markets, securing registrations, preparing export documentation and accessing banking and trade finance facilities.

Dedicated sessions addressed the Authorised Dealer Code, pre-shipment finance and post-shipment finance, along with the related financial and compliance requirements. The summit also covered product-based market analysis, Harmonised System Code classification, pricing benchmarks, target-market identification and the wider export ecosystem.

Participants were briefed on export promotion registrations, commodity boards, MSME and Udyam registration, Geographical Indication tags and the Districts as Export Hubs initiative. Documentation sessions examined commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, phytosanitary and health certificates, shipping bills, Goods and Services Tax Letter of Undertaking and Registration-cum-Membership Certificates.

Cholzo Sophie, Joint Director of Industries and Commerce, delivered the welcome address, while K Francis Hekavi, Additional Director, delivered the keynote address. Hojeto K Suqhe, Joint Director, proposed the vote of thanks. The sessions were led by Razveer Mohsin, Business Head of Tradeforte Group of Companies, who has more than 25 years of experience in banking, export-import, foreign exchange, trade finance and compliance, including work with MSMEs and exporters in the Northeast.
