Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has proposed a 'double engine' model of government to drive comprehensive rural development. Speaking at a public rally in Gogamedi village, Hanumangarh district, as part of the BJP's 'Parivartan Sankalp Yatra' ahead of the Rajasthan elections, Gadkari emphasised the need to transform villages into smart hubs. This model would focus on providing water resources for agriculture and well-connected highways for commerce. Gadkari credited former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for her collaboration in various development projects in the state, particularly in securing funding for water and road projects during her tenure from 2013 to 2018.
