GM Modular Opens Smart Living Studio in Lucknow

GM Modular has opened a GM Smart Living Studio in Lucknow as part of a planned expansion across North India. The studio is located in the prime Gomti Nagar neighbourhood and covers 1,353 sq. ft. It is designed to provide a premium experiential retail environment showcasing smart living solutions.

The showroom presents the company's modular switches, luxury lighting solutions, advanced home automation systems, fans and appliances, music and mobile accessories and other connected innovations. The studio will offer live demonstrations and expert guidance to architects, interior designers, channel partners and consumers. The company has established a dedicated depot in Lucknow to enable faster service for the local market.

The launch event on April 14, 2026 drew industry professionals and civic representatives. The inauguration was attended by Smt Sushma Kharakwal, mayor of Lucknow, and Prashant Bhatia, RSS Sampark Pramukh for Awadh Prant, while actor Suniel Shetty, who is associated with the brand, made a special appearance to highlight modern living solutions.

Ramesh Jain, chairman of GM Modular, said that Lucknow and the Uttar Pradesh market are strategic for the company's growth and that the new studio brings the brand closer to customers. He noted that manufacturing capacity is being scaled up with a new facility in Vijayawada alongside existing units in Mumbai and Hyderabad. With the Lucknow studio the company intends to strengthen its retail reach and promote innovation in household electrical and lifestyle products.

The studio will also function as a resource centre for channel partners and trade professionals, offering product training and technical support to facilitate specification and installation. By enabling hands-on experience and tailored consultations the company said the approach would shorten decision cycles for buyers and improve aftersales satisfaction. The firm characterised the initiative as part of a broader effort to integrate design and technology into everyday living.
