Huhtamaki India Appoints Himanshu Desai as Head of Operations

Huhtamaki India Limited has announced the appointment of Himanshu Desai as Head of Operations, effective April 1, 2025. 

Desai is a seasoned operations leader with over 30 years of experience in the packaging industry across multiple geographies. He has a strong track record in leading high-performing teams and optimiSing manufacturing operations, particularly in the Flexible Packaging segment. 

Previously, he served as General Manager – Operations at Huhtamaki Vietnam and Head of Operations for Huhtamaki’s UAE flexible packaging division, where he managed three manufacturing sites and spearheaded Safety and World-Class Operations (WCO) initiatives. He was also associated with the company from 1991 to 1999. 

Desai holds a Bachelor’s degree in Printing and Graphic Communication from Pune University and a Diploma in Printing and Graphics from the Maharashtra Institute of Printing Technology. His appointment is expected to strengthen Huhtamaki India's manufacturing and operational capabilities.
