Jaya Hind Industries to Invest Rs 600 Crore in Expansion

Jaya Hind Industries Pvt Ltd (JHI) has announced a phased investment of Rs 600 crore over the next two years to expand its manufacturing capacity and capabilities across High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) and Gravity Die Casting (GDC).

The company had earlier announced an investment of Rs 200 crore towards expanding its Chennai facility. It has now committed an additional Rs 400 crore, taking the total planned investment to Rs 600 crore.

The investment will be deployed during FY2026-27 and FY2027-28 across JHI’s key manufacturing locations at Akurdi and Urse in Pune and Chennai.

As part of the expansion, the company will establish a new manufacturing facility in Chennai and install more than 12 new HPDC machines with capacities ranging from 1,200 tonnes to 3,500 tonnes.

JHI also plans to significantly expand its precision machining capabilities and strengthen critical in-house processes such as heat treatment, impregnation and powder coating, along with upgrading overall plant infrastructure.

A dedicated powder coating facility will enable the company to offer more integrated manufacturing solutions, while improving surface finishing, corrosion resistance, product durability and process control.

Prasan Firodia, Managing Director, Jaya Hind Industries, said the company is investing ahead of customer requirements as demand for larger and more complex aluminium castings continues to increase. He added that the expansion will enhance scale, precision and reliability while supporting customers’ future programmes.

According to Firodia, the investment will also help JHI strengthen globally competitive manufacturing capabilities from India in line with the Government’s Make in India vision.
