Kothari Industrial Wins Material Handling Contract At ICF Chennai

Kothari Industrial Corporation said it has received a letter of acceptance dated 24 August 2026 from Integral Coach Factory, Shell Depot, Chennai, for a comprehensive material handling services contract. The award was disclosed in a regulatory filing and concerns operations at the ICF Shell Depot. The entity awarding the contract is Integral Coach Factory, Shell Depot, Chennai, Indian Railways, Government of India.

The contract requires deployment of material handling equipment and manpower, including three tonne (t) forklift trucks, a six tonne (t) forklift truck, a 16 t mobile crane, a JCB, a high reach stacker, material handling assistants and a supervisor. Equipment and staffing will be supplied as per terms specified in the letter of acceptance and tender documents. The contract is domestic in nature and was awarded by a government facility.

The contract is to commence within one day of issue of the letter of acceptance and is to be completed within 365 days, effectively a one year term from the start. The broad consideration for the order is Rs 25.42 million (mn), including applicable GST, equivalent to Rs 25,421,938.88. The filing sets out that the contract will run subject to the terms and conditions of the LOA.

The company disclosed that none of the promoters or promoter group companies have any interest in the entity that awarded the contract.
