KRN Acquires Bus AC Unit Of Sphere Refrigeration Systems

KRN Heat Exchanger and Refrigeration Limited, a leading manufacturer and exporter of aluminium and copper fins, copper tube heat exchangers, water coils, and condenser and evaporator coils, has announced a major step in its expansion journey.
Its wholly owned subsidiary, KRN HVAC Products Private Limited, has signed a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with Sphere Refrigeration Systems Private Limited (SRSPL) to acquire its Bus Air-Conditioning division.
Under the agreement, KRN HVAC will assume control of all operations, assets, and employees associated with SRSPL’s Bus Air-Conditioning business. Following completion, the division will be fully integrated into KRN HVAC’s operations, enhancing its product range across the transport and mobility cooling segment and driving growth in revenue, profitability, and market reach in the coming years.

Strategic Significance:
  • The acquisition marks a key milestone in KRN’s strategy to develop a diversified HVAC business portfolio serving industrial, commercial, and mobility applications.
  • The Bus Air-Conditioning segment represents a growing opportunity, fuelled by rising demand for passenger comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainable cooling technologies in India’s rapidly modernising transport sector.
  • By combining SRSPL’s expertise in bus climate control systems with KRN’s strong manufacturing and engineering capabilities, the company aims to generate powerful synergies in design, production, and distribution.
This strategic acquisition positions KRN to strengthen its presence in the mobility cooling space, aligning with India’s broader shift towards advanced, energy-efficient, and sustainable transport solutions.
